Acceptable Use Policy

MyGaragePilot is provided for personal and small-team vehicle maintenance record-keeping only. By using this service you agree to the following.

Permitted use: tracking your own vehicles, fuel, maintenance, documents, and associated costs. Sharing access with household members and trusted collaborators within your organization.

Prohibited use: uploading illegal content of any kind; attempting to access another user's or organization's data; using automated tools to scrape, bulk-upload, or abuse the AI extraction features; reverse-engineering or attempting to circumvent security controls; reselling access or impersonating MyGaragePilot.

Uploaded files must be vehicle-related documents (receipts, invoices, registrations, manuals). Uploading content unrelated to vehicle maintenance is not permitted.

MyGaragePilot may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, and may report illegal content to appropriate authorities.

Reasonable AI Usage Policy: MyGaragePilot's AI-powered features are intended to enhance the vehicle ownership experience for individual users and organizations. While paid plans include access to AI capabilities, they are subject to reasonable use to ensure reliable service for all customers.

MyGaragePilot reserves the right to monitor AI usage for operational, security, fraud prevention, and cost-management purposes. Usage patterns that are excessive, abusive, automated, or inconsistent with normal use of the platform may be reviewed.

Examples of unreasonable AI usage include, but are not limited to: automated or scripted requests intended to bypass normal application workflows; excessive volumes of AI requests that materially exceed typical customer usage; attempts to use AI features for purposes unrelated to vehicle ownership or fleet management; activities that intentionally or unintentionally degrade service for other users; and attempts to circumvent subscription limits, licensing restrictions, or other platform controls.

If MyGaragePilot determines that AI usage is unreasonable or negatively impacts the platform, it may take appropriate action, including temporarily limiting AI functionality, requiring the customer to upgrade to a more appropriate plan, contacting the customer to discuss usage patterns, or suspending or terminating AI access or account access in accordance with the Terms of Service.

The goal of this policy is not to restrict legitimate use, but to ensure that MyGaragePilot remains reliable, responsive, and sustainable for all customers.

This policy may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
